With a dedicated team of over 110,000 employees across 130 countries, we go all the way to connect and simplify global trade, and help our customers grow and thrive.Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.The Operations Manager monitors all operations including but not limited to; process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status and dispatch drivers for pick up.The manager will be the primary interface between Maersk Ground Freight, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures. The Manager will provide training, complete performance reviews, and issue disciplinary action when necessary.SHIFT: Tues-Sat 5pm to 3amDuties and Responsibilities:Interact with employees, vendors and other Maersk Ground Freight stations and personnelFreight handling via forklift Assist District Manager with general tasksResponsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Maersk Ground Freight Corporate PoliciesEffectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and moraleReviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategiesResponsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficienciesOversee the warehouse operations including supervising direct reportsOverseeing all aspects of the Operations Department and employeesDelegating duties and responsibilitiesCommunicating freight status and any problems to customLoad/Off-load build trucks for optimal routingOps manager is responsible for all the stations domestic KPI'sOther duties as assignedSkills/Competencies:Customer service background preferredCompany Benefits:MedicalDentalVision401k + Company MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And more!Pay:$80k to $85k per yearMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
