Human Resources Generalist – Join the Zadok Jewelers Team Zadok Jewelers, one of the largest family-owned and operated jewelry stores in Texas, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a trusted member of our organization, you will play a key role in recruiting top talent, supporting employees and leaders, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring HR excellence across the organization. In this role, you will: Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding. Support employee relations and performance management. Administer benefits and HR programs. Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Partner with leadership on employee development and organizational initiatives. Help cultivate an engaging and collaborative workplace culture. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and coordinating hiring decisions. Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation while ensuring a welcoming and engaging employee experience. Maintain employee personnel files and HR records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Administer employee benefits, leave of absence programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims. Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, procedures, and employment practices. Assist with employee relations matters, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management. Coordinate employee training, professional development, and compliance initiatives. Prepare employment letters, policy updates, job descriptions, and HR-related documentation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Support payroll administration by coordinating employee changes and maintaining accurate HR records. Assist leadership with organizational planning, employee engagement initiatives, and HR projects. Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented workplace culture. Qualifications: 5+ years of Human Resources experience. Strong recruiting and employee relations background. Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Paylocity systems. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) is not necessary but preferred. Why Zadok Jewelers?
