Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production position plays a key role in supporting production operations by safely moving, storing, staging, and supplying materials throughout a busy manufacturing facility. This position involves performing various general tasks on a production floor for more than eight hours per day and transporting parts to the appropriate departments to keep workflows running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Move, store, and stage materials throughout the manufacturing facility to support ongoing production operations.
• Push wheeled carts loaded with small parts across the production floor for 8+ hours per day.
• Transport parts and materials to the correct departments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and organizing materials as needed.
• Assist with general production tasks, including assembly work, to support manufacturing schedules.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques for loads up to 50 pounds.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in a General Labor or General Production role.
• Ability to stand and walk consistently for more than 8 hours per day on the production floor.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Ability to push small parts on wheeled carts for extended periods.
• Reliability and consistency in meeting attendance and performance expectations.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train in different areas of production.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and productivity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altamont, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
