SHEET METAL MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT)

Job Title
The duties of this position include:
- Manufacturing, assembling, installing, removing, and repairing ventilation, furnishings, and items including but not limited to nonstructural bulkheads and overheads.
- Providing technical expertise on work instructions, interpreting instructions, and resolving problems for the sheet metal employees assigned to a project.
- Conducting shipboard pre-work inspections to determine if the work is in compliance with the technical work document requirements, and making recommendations to resolve complex problems.
- Reporting to supervisors on the status and progress of work, nature of work delays, and answering questions on overall work operations and problems.
- Inspecting completed and in process work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans, and schedules.
