Patent Attorney/Agent - Biotechnology

Seeking a full-time Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with a background in biotechnology, molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Ideally, candidates will hold a master’s or PhD in a relevant field. This position involves all aspects of patent prosecution, with opportunities for increasing levels of responsibility and movement into other areas of our IP practice. Key Responsibilities: Analyze Office Actions and prepare strategies for response. Prepare patent applications. Ensure accurate billing, file maintenance, and docket management. Work closely with other attorneys and technical staff on a variety of matters in biotechnology fields. Requirements: Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, cell biology, or biochemistry. 1-5 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm.Patent drafting experience preferred. Desired Qualities: Strong attention to detail. Technically proficient with the ability to learn quickly. Motivated, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
