Job Description:

This position requires a Registered Nurse in the ICU Float, combining various ICUs such as MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU. Nurses in this role will float within Zone 3 and are expected to be adaptable and proficient in managing high acuity patients and titrating critical drips.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in combination ICUs including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU.
• Float to different facilities within a 60-mile radius based around the Denver City Center as needed.
• Titrate critical drips and manage high acuity cases independently.
• Read and interpret telemetry independently without monitor tech support.
• Assist respiratory therapists and manage respiratory needs when necessary.
• Adapt to different hospital settings and potentially new patient assessments with short notice.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; prefer prior travel experience.
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required.
• Comfortable with tele monitoring, reading strips independently, and using EPIC charting system.
• Willingness to work nights and float between Zone 3 facilities including OrthoColorado Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Anthony North Hospital.
• Flexibility in scheduling with potential for 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
