Summit Staffing is seeking a Holzma Panel Saw Operator to support production in a woodworking and manufacturing environment. In this role, you will operate precision panel saw equipment to cut materials according to exact specifications, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production flow.

Job Details

Location: Houston, Texas
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $18.00 – $19.00/hour (based on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Holzma panel saw equipment to cut materials to precise specifications
• Set up, adjust, and perform minor maintenance on machinery
• Read and interpret job sheets, blueprints, and cutting plans
• Measure materials accurately to ensure precision and reduce material waste
• Inspect finished panels for quality, accuracy, and defects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating Holzma or similar panel saw equipment
• Ability to read and interpret measurements and technical specifications accurately
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking, panel processing, or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with automated or CNC panel saw systems
• Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and woodworking production environment
• Standing and operating machinery throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to wood materials, dust, and production equipment
• Required PPE may include steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
• Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term placement based on performance
