COO - Chief Operating Officer

Robert Half is looking for a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to partner with ownership in strengthening and expanding dealership operations in the Greater Philadelphia area. This leader will bring structure, consistency, and measurable performance standards across multiple locations while preserving the nimble, business-building mindset that has fueled the company’s success. The position is suited for an executive with deep automotive retail experience who can move seamlessly between high-level planning and on-site operational execution. The COO will play a central role in preparing the organization for future growth, including acquisitions and multi-store integration.Responsibilities:Design and implement consistent operating standards across all dealership locations to improve execution and create a more unified organization.Assess current store performance, uncover operational gaps, and lead initiatives that increase efficiency, profitability, and management accountability.Partner directly with general managers and department leaders to solve problems, strengthen day-to-day performance, and reinforce process adherence.Establish meaningful performance metrics, reporting routines, and review cadences that give leadership clear visibility into business results.Build a centralized operating framework that supports multiple dealerships while allowing each location to function effectively within its market.Support ownership with expansion planning by reviewing acquisition opportunities through an operational and organizational lens.Develop the infrastructure, workflows, and leadership discipline needed to scale the business from its current footprint into a larger dealer platform over time.Oversee compliance practices across all rooftops, ensuring alignment with manufacturer expectations, regulatory obligations, and internal operating policies.Promote a culture of disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and accountability at every level of the organization.
