Legal Assistant Paralegal

Job Description We are a fast-paced insurance defense law firm looking for a sharp, motivated Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our attorneys through every stage of case preparation and litigation — drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and communicating directly with clients. Strong drafting skills, confidence in client interaction, and hands-on experience with discovery are essential. Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is REQUIRED. Our office is located near NASA, and candidates must live within 20 miles of the 77058 area. We pride ourselves on maintaining a relaxed, team-oriented atmosphere with a casual dress code. Key Responsibilities Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, notices, and correspondence Prepare and respond to discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions) Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness files Communicate directly with clients in English and Spanish Conduct client intake interviews and gather relevant case information Maintain case files and manage deadlines File documents electronically in state and federal courts Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of paralegal experience (litigation experience) REQUIRED Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) REQUIRED Strong drafting and proofreading skills Experience preparing and responding to discovery Familiarity with court filing systems (state and federal) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment without supervision Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred Skills & Competencies High attention to detail Strong time management skills Professional client interaction Ability to work independently and collaboratively Confidentiality and discretion Benefits Competitive salary Health insurance offered after probationary period Paid time Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
