Your Responsibilities

• Executing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic exams, and developing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with your physician partners or independently
• Providing education to patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies
• Prescribing medications and treatments in alignment with your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management regarding long-term care
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to assure a holistic and seamless continuum of care
• Meticulously documenting patient interactions and plans in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Criteria

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
