If this is the culture and work environment you are seeking, then EBAD is the place for you!Job DescriptionEBAD seeks an engineer for the position Development Engineer, reporting to the Product Development Engineering Lead.ResponsibilitiesThe development engineer (DE) is the technical lead on internal and external projects and is responsible for all technical and schedule aspects of the project/product from concept through development, qualification and production. Primary duties include:Development and maintenance of the technical data packageCreate 3D conceptual modelsPerform design trade studies and hand calculationsInteract with customers on design, interface and functional detailsInteract with suppliers to procure prototype parts for risk reduction testingExecute the EBAD development process by facilitating internal and customer facing cross-functional meetings and design reviewsRequirements generation, allocation, flow down, and verificationTechnical compliance and risk assessment/managementCoordination of project team technical tasksAdditional duties include coordination with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs, creation of the required documentation, and internal and customer approval for this documentation.RequirementsThe successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and experience in project, design or related engineering experience. Mechanical and/or Aerospace are the preferred engineering disciplines.Proven leadership of technical teamsStrong time and task management skillsAbility to evaluate, understand, and apply customer requirements and government/military specifications to designDemonstrated experience generating 3D models & 2D drawings, SolidWorks preferredCapable of interpreting GD&TStrong written, verbal and presentation skills for interaction with various levels of management and customersAbility to adapt to project changes and overcome technical challengesDemonstrated competency in problem solving and root cause analysisMust have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.Competent with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointPreferred SkillsKnowledge of explosive materials and energetic devicesExperience with product development, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing processesExperience with product testing including test requirements development and procedure generationKnowledge of dynamic test methods including shock, sinusoidal vibration, and random vibrationExperience applying GD&T and understanding of how it affects part manufacturing, inspection, and costAbility to perform tolerance analyses to ensure proper assembly and system integrationExperience with MS ProjectANSYS and Solid Works experienceAerospace industry experienceEnsign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
