Legal Assistant

Reputable No Fault law firm that is looking for qualified candidates to assist in arbitration hearing preparations.
This job is only open to those who are willing to work from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM for 3 days a week Monday-Thursday. Our office is located in Massapequa, New York, and remote work is not available.
Qualifications
• Candidates must be highly driven, extremely organized, and have excellent typing and computer skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to meet deadlines efficiently and on time
Previous legal experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
• File preparation and management
• Process incoming cases and maintain detailed records
• Fill out and file forms with the American Arbitration Association
• Input data from the American Arbitration Association website and maintain updated excel sheets for each of our clients
• Analyze documents from insurance carriers
• File organization, scanning and any other clerical work as needed by the attorneys
• Assistance with medical billing
• Generating documents such as cover letters, proof of mailing, etc.
Please be advised that, depending on the qualifications and performance of the selected candidate, there may be an opportunity for the role to evolve to include a broader scope of legal duties.
Experience working in the legal field is a plus, but not required. We offer paid training, holidays, vacation and sick time.
Salary will be based upon previous experience relevant to this position.
