Position Overview As Team Lead in the Environmental Services (EVS) Department, you will create a comfortable and safe environment for patients by ensuring all assigned facility areas are clean, fully stocked, and organized. Your efforts help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and assist caregivers in providing attentive patient care. Shift: 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm with full weekend rotations every other week. Responsibilities Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures. Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces. Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation. Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated. Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum one year of experience in an environmental services or housekeeping role with strong customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks. Physical Requirements Ability to perform duties while standing or walking for majority of day, push/pull equipment such as beds, trash trucks, floor buffers and scrubbers; stoop, stretch, and lift while performing duties. Medium work exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands exceed those of Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $18.55 Maximum hourly: $24.81 Actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as work history, experience, skill set, and education.
