Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist for an acute care hospital OR with Trauma Level I experience required.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital Operating Room with 8 rooms and a daily census of 25,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM,
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs,
• On-call duties required,
• Floating between sister facilities required,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required, 5 years preferred,
• Trauma Level I experience required,
• Community hospital experience preferred,
• BLS certification required,
• CST and NBSTSA certifications preferred,
• Previous travel assignment experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• California state license preferred, pending license accepted,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Perform surgical technologist duties across a wide range of specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, gynecology, urology, and ENT procedures,
• Support robotic-assisted surgeries including Da Vinci Xi system cases,
• Maintain aseptic technique, sterilization, and infection control standards,
• Follow Universal Protocol time-out procedures and emergency safety protocols,
• Scrub attire or business casual dress permitted,
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays,
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days,
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler,
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate,
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
