Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a travel position requiring the ability to scrub and circulate on robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgical cases.

Job Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital,
• Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedic, neurologic, and general surgical procedures,
• AM shift schedule, 11a-12a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week,
• 36 hours per week,
• On-call required,
• Floating required, including to a nearby sister hospital,
• Uses EPIC charting system,

Job Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required,
• BLS certification required,
• CNOR certification preferred,
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required,
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing,
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred,
• EPIC EMR experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive pre-operative and postoperative patient assessments and education,
• Support completion of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness,
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress,
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques,
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to prioritize and coordinate patient care,
• Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate,
