Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care in the Operating Room. The RN will support surgical teams, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring all necessary documentation and equipment are ready.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during diverse procedures, including neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics surgeries.
• Monitor patient vitals and condition throughout surgeries, responding promptly to any changes.
• Follow strict infection control protocols and safety guidelines, including completing required lab and screening procedures.
• Document surgical procedures and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding drug screens, certifications, and local practice regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the surgical service line.
• Possess recent experience with neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, or general robotics surgeries, including craniotomy and burr holes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, including sterile techniques and patient safety.
• Be able to complete lab tests and certification verification within designated timeframes.
• Show proficiency in electronic charting, preferably with Altera or similar platforms.
• Comply with travel and local radius guidelines, with licensed credentials ready for submission.
