About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room (ER) | Night Shift

Tallahassee, Florida

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 39-bed Emergency Department maintaining a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform and assist with emergency procedures including chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar puncture, laceration repair, and administration of blood products
• Assist with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures as needed
• Conduct 30-minute to 1-hour patient rounding and participate in bedside shift report
• Document patient care accurately using the MediTech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with unit secretaries and 2–3 floor technicians to support efficient patient throughput

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with emergency equipment including Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors
• Ability to multi-task and maintain focus on patient throughput in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MediTech documentation system
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary emergency care team
• Familiarity with ER hold unit protocols and floating policies
