Responsibilities Evaluation and treatment of impairments including all areas of speech and language Executive functioning Cognitive needs Dysphagia Augmentative communication needs Working one-on-one with patients in their own homes and communities Creating integrated treatment plans Requirements Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology State licensure is required Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must.
