Responsibilities include: Preparing specimens for analysis Assisting in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays Triage of all lab samples and requests after verifying appropriate information Entering and verifying patient and test information into the computer Generating computer labels for specimens and delivering them to appropriate areas Preparing samples for transport to referral labs or storage Documenting draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens Salary Range: $36.49 - $48.13/hour May be required to provide coverage as needed at all BURL locations including Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch, Calabasas, Burbank, Century City, Encino, Panorama City, and Torrance. Job Qualifications Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET). Minimum of 2 years of recent experience performing specimen processing in a high-volume testing laboratory. Ability to work at other draw stations as needed (e.g. Panorama City, Torrance, Burbank, Encino, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, Porter Ranch, Thousand Oaks, and Century City). Availability to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS). Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred.
