This flexible contract opportunity is open to Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) who are passionate about delivering quality mental healthcare in a structured correctional setting. Position Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments. Develop treatment plans and provide ongoing psychiatric care. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications as clinically appropriate. Collaborate with on‑site nursing and medical staff regarding patient treatment and behavioral health concerns. Provide consultation and guidance to clinical staff as needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation. Qualifications Current Georgia licensure as a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Board certification or board eligibility preferred. DEA registration, if applicable. Experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. PMHNP candidates must have an identified collaborating physician willing to enter into a collaborative agreement for services at the facility. The collaborating physician must meet all Georgia regulatory requirements, including practicing within the required geographic distance of the facility (currently within a 50‑mile radius). PMHNP candidates must maintain compliance with all applicable Georgia requirements for practice and prescriptive authority. Ability to obtain and maintain facility security clearance.
