About the Role

Loansteady is seeking an experienced, licensed Mortgage Loan Originator to join our direct-to-consumer team. This role is built for a proven mortgage sales professional who can convert company-provided leads into funded loans through prompt outreach, consultative selling, and consistent follow-up.

You will own the borrower relationship from the first conversation through closing, helping clients choose financing that fits their goals while managing an active pipeline and meeting production expectations. We provide strong lead flow, modern technology, and a collaborative team to support your success.

What You Will Do

· Respond quickly to new leads and engage prospective borrowers by phone, email, and text.

· Assess borrower goals and qualifications, present suitable loan options, and clearly explain rates, costs, and terms.

· Convert inquiries into applications, rate locks, and funded loans through effective follow-up and objection handling.

· Manage a high-volume pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and maintain accurate CRM records and next steps.

· Collect complete application information and documentation, and coordinate with processing and underwriting to resolve issues and keep loans moving.

· Keep borrowers informed through closing while meeting sales goals and maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable lending requirements.

What You Bring

· Active NMLS licensing and at least two years of mortgage origination experience.

· A demonstrated record of converting leads and closing loans; DTC or mortgage call center experience preferred.

· Strong mortgage product knowledge and the ability to evaluate borrower needs and explain financing options confidently.

· Excellent phone sales skills, clear communication, and a consistent follow-up process.

· The organization and accountability to manage multiple borrowers in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

· A collaborative approach and willingness to apply coaching to improve results. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
