Patient Registration RepresentativeThe Patient Registration Representative plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their satisfaction and well-being. PRRs handle clerical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of quality patient care. They uphold patient confidentiality and follow all relevant regulations to maintain accurate health records.Responsibilities:Maintain the integrity of health records by accurately inputting and retrieving information in the Electronic Medical Record system.Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration tasks, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate billing.Identify the need for clinical healthcare staff triage when necessary.Coordinate patient flow, ensuring compliance with HIPAA laws and maintaining patient confidentiality.Collaborate with the patient care team, provide care coordination services, and contribute to Quality Improvement activities.Process prior authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information.Track and log patient data accurately.Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's Degree in a related field.Strong knowledge of medical terminology.3 years of experience in high-level customer service and relevant healthcare roles.Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.Physical Requirements:This role involves periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and may include lifting up to ten pounds.
