Prepress Artist
Prepress Artist is responsible for preparing artwork and digital files for high-quality printing. Primary purpose is to ensure that all visual materials – such as packaging, marketing material, labels, etc. are technically accurate, print-ready, and optimized for the intended production process. Primary purpose is to create/modify artwork for the Sales Service. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Required Knowledge:
Good understanding of manufacturing processes. Good to high understanding of PC and Macintosh. Knowledge of all related computer applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Suitcase Fusion, & Microsoft Suite.
Experience and Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- College or technical degree preferred in related fields such as graphic design, visual communication, or printing technology.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22 to $25 an hour + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
