Family Specialist

Position Details Salary: Starts at $20.25 - $23.08 / hr (rate based on education and relevant experience). Opportunity for a $1,000 sign‑on bonus. Schedule: Full time; flexible to accommodate families. Location: Field based, covering St. John County. Responsibilities Devereux Florida provides Family Preservation and Child Welfare case‑management services for children and families referred by the Department of Children and Families. This role works closely with DCF to develop family preservation plans, conduct Family Team Meetings, determine needs and implement resources, coordinate referrals with support staff, follow up to ensure needs are met, and maintain contact with the assigned DCF investigator to provide updates on family progress in the Family Builders Program. Experience: Three years of direct service to at‑risk children and families. Other requirements: Complete a three‑day new‑hire orientation via MSTeams. Valid FL driver’s license. 21 years of age or older. Pass pre‑employment medical screening (drug test, TB test). Pass Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
