This role will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month-end close, and strengthening our internal controls framework. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Business Unit Controller and Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, deep understanding of GAAP, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Support the monthly and year end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Prepare and maintain journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Prepare, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and quarterly.Calculate and prepare monthly sales commission reports for payroll.Assist in preparing internal financial statements and management reports.Analyze financial data and provide insights into trends and variances.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.Support external audits (financial, tax, insurance, banking) and sales tax compliance.Collaborate with cross departmental teams to improve processes and financial workflows.Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc reporting.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Competencies:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate and present information one-on-one and in group situations, and outside of the company.Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of variables in situations and with problems where only limited information or standardization exists.Open and transparent with a strong work ethic as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be a self-starter, independent, and strong organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines at any given time.Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.4+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.CPA preferred.Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Teamwork oriented, working with all levels and departments of the organization.Experience with ERP, Microsoft D365 a plus.Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
