Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Systems Administrator
Job Description
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Systems Administrator manages, optimizes, and supports the organization’s EHS software platforms and related digital tools. This role ensures that EHS data systems operate effectively, users receive strong support, regulatory requirements are met, and accurate data drives safety, environmental, and compliance decision-making. The EHS Systems Administrator partners closely with IT, Operations, People, and EHS leadership to maintain system integrity and deliver robust reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain EHS management systems, including incident management, inspections, audits, and sustainability tracking tools.
Manage system workflows, forms, user roles, permissions, and site configurations to ensure secure and efficient system operation.
Implement system updates, enhancements, and integrations in partnership with software vendors and internal IT teams.
Troubleshoot system issues promptly and work to minimize downtime and disruption to users.
Ensure high data quality through regular audits, validation rules, and proactive monitoring of EHS systems.
Develop dashboards, automated reports, and analytics that support EHS leadership and site teams in data-driven decision-making.
Support regulatory and internal reporting needs, including incidents, training completion, waste streams, emissions, and other key EHS metrics.
Manage data imports, exports, and system integrations with HRIS, ERP, LMS, and other platforms, including demographic data setup and maintenance.
Provide responsive technical support to system users across multiple sites, levels, and departments.
Create clear user guides, job aids, and training materials to increase system adoption and user proficiency.
Conduct live and virtual training sessions for new users and for system enhancements and new features.
Serve as the primary point of contact between system users and platform vendors, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
Ensure system configuration aligns with company EHS policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Partner with EHS teams to improve processes through automation, workflow optimization, and better use of system capabilities.
Lead or participate in system-related improvement projects, pilots, and rollouts to continuously enhance EHS systems.
Maintain accurate system documentation, change logs, and data governance standards to support compliance and transparency.
Apply strong technical acumen to work with complex systems and process automation.
Demonstrate a customer service orientation by supporting diverse user groups with patience, clarity, and effective communication.
Uphold a data integrity mindset, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of information stored in EHS systems.
Collaborate effectively with EHS, IT, People, and Operational teams to align system capabilities with business needs.
Essential Skills
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a science or software-related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience administering EHS and LMS software platforms such as KPA, Cority, Enablon, Intelex, Gensuite, VelocityEHS, or similar systems.
Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or built-in system analytics.
Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical users.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting diverse user groups.
Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, coordinating, and executing system-related initiatives.
Technical acumen and comfort working with complex systems and process automation.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
Customer service orientation, with the ability to support users at different levels and in different departments.
Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical and workflow-related issues efficiently.
Ability to collaborate effectively across EHS, IT, People, and Operational teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with system integrations and APIs.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA, and other applicable EHS regulations.
Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, or scripting languages.
Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, biotech, logistics, or technology environments.
Experience in data entry, configuration, data management, and data reporting within EHS or similar systems.

Work Environment
The role is based within a food manufacturing environment, with approximately 85% of the time spent in an office setting and 15% on the production floor. The position operates in a typical office and factory environment, including regular visits to operational areas to support system users and EHS initiatives. Occasional travel to operational sites may be required for training, implementation, and support activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
