Senior Accountant / Analyst

Kforce's client, a growing financial institution located in the Boston, MA area, is seeking a Senior Accountant/Analyst to support core accounting and financial reporting functions. This role partners closely with senior leadership and plays a key role in month-end close, regulatory reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The position offers strong visibility, hands-on exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to automation and efficiency efforts. Hybrid schedule available after initial onboarding period. Client offers salary and benefits package Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare internal financial statements and external regulatory reports
• Perform and review general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end close including journal entries and account analysis
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Evaluate processes and implement improvements and automation initiatives
• Develop documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines
• Partner with internal and external auditors and support audit activities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CFA preferred
• 4+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Prior experience in banking or financial services (or related audit experience)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Oracle, Blackline, Sageworks, AvidPay preferred)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Understanding of internal controls and regulatory compliance (BSA knowledge a plus)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
