Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Total Rewards Analyst supports the administration and delivery of compensation and benefits programs by conducting market analyses, coordinating annual compensation and benefits processes, administering employee benefit programs, and providing analytical and operational support. This role partners with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, managers, and external vendors to ensure Total Rewards programs are competitive, compliant, and effectively administered while delivering positive employee experience.

Compensation

• Support the job leveling process for new and modified positions by partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine appropriate job levels, analyze market data, and develop competitive compensation ranges.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Talent Acquisition team regarding all compensation-related matters.

• Coordinate the submission of annual and ad hoc compensation surveys (e.g., Radford and Culpepper), ensuring data accuracy and timely completion.

• Analyze external salary survey data to evaluate market competitiveness and identify internal equity or pay parity considerations; highlight internal parity/compensation issues.

• Prepare annual market data for all active positions to support compensation range reviews and updates.

• Support the planning and execution of the Annual Rewards Cycle, ensuring project milestones and timelines are met.

• Prepare reports, analyses, and modeling to support merit, bonus, and equity planning during the Annual Rewards Cycle.

• Prepare final payout reports, summaries, and presentation materials for senior leadership review.

• Draft and review employee and manager communications related to compensation programs and the Annual Rewards Cycle.

Benefits

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Annual Enrollment program.

• Draft and review communications related to Annual Enrollment and Benefits Program.

• Support benefit administration activities, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.

• Support the coordination of the administration of the leave of absence process(es) in partnership with employees, managers, third parties, and People Relations/HR Business Partners.

• Administer the 401(K) retirement plan, including employee transactions, vendor coordination, compliance support, and responding to employee inquiries.

• Provide support for offboarding activities, including preparing paperwork, benefit terminations, and coordination with the HR Business Partners.

ABOUT YOU

• Knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, including market pricing, salary structures, job evaluation, retirement plans, leave administration, and applicable employment laws and regulations.

• Ability to analyze compensation, benefits, and workforce data to identify trends, support decision-making, and recommend solutions while maintaining internal equity and market competitiveness.

• Skill in interpreting salary survey data and utilizing compensation benchmarking methodologies to develop salary ranges and support compensation recommendations.

• Proficiency with HRIS, compensation, and reporting systems, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.

• Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and data accuracy.

• Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support recurring annual programs such as merit reviews and benefits enrollment.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear communications, reports, and presentations for employees, managers, and senior leadership.

• Ability to build collaborative working relationships with HR, Talent Acquisition, managers, vendors, and other stakeholders while providing responsive customer service and guidance.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and ensure accuracy when handling sensitive employee information and Total Rewards programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education:

Bachelor's in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Licensure/Certifications: N/A

Experience:

Experience in Radford and/or Culpepper

Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint

Experience with Smartsheet

Strong ability to communicate professionally with management and across organizations
