Material Handler - 1st Shift

Location: Archdale, NC
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16.75-$17.00/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for handling, storing, picking, and moving materials to support production, shipping, and receiving activities.

The Material Handler will use forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport and store materials. The role also requires basic computer use, including completing SAP transactions and responding to email requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, stock, organize, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Prepare materials and jobs in advance to ensure they are ready for assembly.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory counts, parts, and storage locations.
• Keep warehouse and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Perform material transactions using SAP.
• Respond to work-related email requests as needed.
• Perform basic inspections of materials and parts.
• Use measuring and material-handling equipment, including scales and pallet jacks.
• Operate a forklift as required; forklift certification may be required.
• Pick up and move trash, recycling, and corrugated materials.
• Read and understand work instructions and drawings written in English.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory and material records.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and scales is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while keeping materials organized and production needs on schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb and safely use a rolling ladder.
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment as required.
