Principal Program ManagerLocation: Hanscom AFB, MASalary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 annually depending on experience, certifications, and qualificationsJob Status: Full-time; salariedClearance: Secret clearance required to have at time of hireAstrion has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Manager providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM), which is located at Hanscom AFB in Bedford Massachusetts.Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM's main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime, and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space.Required Qualifications / SkillsMust be a US citizenMust have an active Secret clearanceEducation:Master's or Doctorate Degree, and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoDOR, Bachelor's Degree, and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoDPreferred Qualifications / SkillsTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project)Interpersonal skillsExpectation that this role will be a leader with the ability to work with minimal oversight, and perform at a high-level. To be a problem solver and provide the customer with Acquisition Program Management advice so candidate must be comfortable with bringing solutions to the table and speaking up. Strong understanding of Acquisitions along with the ability to effectively communicate.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Program Manager will provide acquisition and program management support to Government Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across the acquisition lifecycle. The position supports program execution activities involving cost, schedule, performance, risk management, acquisition documentation, milestone preparation, contractor coordination, and program reporting in support of Air Force acquisition programs.Core ResponsibilitiesBuild acquisition strategy to include cost, schedule and performance for Architecture and Systems Engineering Program OfficeProvide acquisition support and communicate effective solutions to Government LeadBuild acquisition documentation and acquisition strategiesWork as an interface between Program office and stakeholderOperational planning, capability development, event integration, analysis, and reporting activitiesDuties include, but not limited to:Build acquisition strategy to include cost, schedule and performance for Architecture and Systems Engineering Program OfficeProvide acquisition support and communicate effective solutions to Government LeadBuild acquisition documentation and acquisition strategiesWork as an interface between Program office and stakeholderOperational planning, capability development, event integration, analysis, and reporting activitiesSupport Government Program Managers in executing acquisition programs in accordance with FAR, DoDI 5000.02, and applicable Air Force guidance and regulationsPlan, research, analyze, and assess acquisition projects to support cost, schedule, and performance objectivesProvide acquisition program management support to Program Managers and IPT Leads to maintain acquisition battle rhythm and deliver operational capabilitySupport development and review of acquisition documentation including Acquisition Strategies, APBs, LCSPs, Risk Management Plans, milestone briefings, and other program documentationAssist with preparation and review of acquisition reports including DAES, MARs, APBs, SARs, and other statutory and regulatory documentationSupport program risk management activities including risk identification, analysis, handling, monitoring, and execution of risk management boards and working groupsDevelop and support briefings, schedules, status reports, graphics, and acquisition documentation for senior leadershipSupport source selection activities including development of evaluation criteria, RFP documentation, CDRLs, SOWs, and source selection support documentationReview acquisition and program documentation to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with applicable guidanceSupport implementation and execution of acquisition and development processes in coordination with Government and contractor personnelAssist with program integration activities, contractor deliverable tracking, and schedule managementSupport preparation and submission of funding documentation including Purchase Requests, MIPRs, and related acquisition documentationMonitor and support interface control and coordination between program systems and stakeholdersProvide guidance on acquisition policies, procedures, and program management best practicesSupport operational planning, capability development, event integration, analysis, and reporting activitiesMaintain awareness of DoD acquisition reform initiatives and recommend process improvements where applicable.
