We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support accounting operations for a construction company in Irving, Texas. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys working with financial records, maintaining accuracy, and keeping documentation organized in a fast-paced office environment. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule with some flexibility and the potential for increased pay if converted to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:
• Examine invoices and payment requests to confirm accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization before processing
• Input invoice details into the accounting platform with correct coding and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process vendor payments through approved methods while adhering to established due dates
• Compare vendor statements against internal records and investigate differences to ensure accounts remain current
• Communicate with suppliers to answer payment-related questions and help resolve billing issues professionally
• Contribute to month-end accounting activities by assisting with accrual support and financial record updates
• Maintain orderly accounts payable files so records are easy to retrieve and audit-ready
• Follow company procedures and financial controls to support compliance and accurate transaction handling
• Provide administrative and accounting assistance for additional finance-related assignments as business needs arise• Prior experience in data entry, accounts payable, or a similar clerical accounting role
• Strong numeric data entry skills with the ability to process information accurately and efficiently
• Comfortable using computer-based systems for entering, tracking, and updating financial records
• Solid typing ability and attention to detail when handling large volumes of information
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a busy work environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
• Basic understanding of invoice processing, payment workflows, and recordkeeping standards
