Required License/Registration/Certification Certification eligible Physical Requirements This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing). Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to blood‑borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people. Shift Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays; day shift. Job Summary The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care and will assist the supervisor and senior leaders in program development while adhering to the policies and procedures of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, this position will perform physical therapy evaluations and render physical therapy treatments following a physician’s order; treat patients with a variety of diagnoses; and perform appropriate documentation in the medical record. Preferred Education/Experience One to two years’ experience in Hospital-based acute care preferred.
