Duration: 6–8 Month Contract
Compensation: Up to $60/hour

We're partnering with a leading North American manufacturing organization that plays a critical role in supplying essential products to global industrial and agricultural markets. Known for its commitment to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a key manufacturing facility based in Mississippi.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional with strong manufacturing experience who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support the monthly financial close process for the manufacturing facility.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet variance analysis.
- Process product costing and manufacturing cost allocations.
- Analyze monthly plant cost variances.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
- Support asset componentization, retirements, and asset closures.
- Maintain documentation to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support annual budgeting and inventory/spare parts reviews.
- Partner with plant leadership and corporate finance on financial reporting and analysis.
- Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Manufacturing or plant accounting experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working for a large public company is required.
- Hands-on SAP experience is required; SAP S/4HANA experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening.
