Job Summary

A leading manufacturer of consumer products sold to major retailers across North America, Europe, and Asia, with headquarters in the Greater Los Angeles area, is seeking an experienced Shipping/Logistics Clerk to  coordinate daily outbound shipments in a fast-paced distribution environment. This position works closely with other company personnel to ensure orders are accurately processed, routed, documented, scheduled, and shipped on time.

The Shipping/Logistics Clerk utilizes SAGE 100 and a logistics system , follows customer routing guides, prepares shipping documentation, supports EDI/ASN requirements, schedules carrier pickups, tracks shipments, and resolves routine shipping issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate shipment and order information in SAGE 100 and related logistics systems .
• Follow customer-specific routing guides, shipping requirements, labeling standards, and delivery instructions .
• Schedule daily carrier pickups and delivery appointments .
• Prepare and verify BOLs, packing slips, shipping labels, and required shipping documentation .
• Support EDI/ASN requirements and assist with resolving shipment or system issues.
• Track and trace shipments and follow up with carriers regarding delays, missed pickups, or delivery exceptions.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Operations to ensure orders are accurate, properly prepared, and ready for pickup.
• Communicate with carriers, customers, Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams regarding shipment status and requirements.
• Obtain freight quotes and assist with carrier selection and coordination.
• Troubleshoot shipment discrepancies, including shortages, damages, missing shipments, routing issues, and documentation errors.
• Assist with freight claims and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, logs, and shipment documentation.
• Provide routine shipment status updates and reports to management.
• Perform other shipping and warehouse administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on shipping/logistics experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, or shipping systems ; SAGE 100 experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in retail distribution, consumer products, or consumer electronics is a plus.

Work Environment

• Regular interaction with warehouse personnel, drivers, carriers, and other visitors.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
