Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician to maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and appearance of our manufacturing facilitys office and manufacturing areas, as well as the external grounds. This role is responsible for keeping the office spaces professional and well-maintained, managing all grounds upkeep, and performing light cleaning duties in the plants bathrooms and breakrooms.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Office Maintenance:

• Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenance of all office areas, including floors, carpets, windows, walls, and furniture
• Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms, breakrooms, and conference rooms
• Empty trash throughout the offices
• Dust, polish, and maintain office furniture and fixtures
• Electrical:
  • Replace light bulbs and/or ballasts or convert to LED
  • Troubleshoot and/or replace switches, outlets, and light fixtures
• Plumbing:
  • Fix minor leaks, unclog drains, and repair faucets and toilets
• HVAC
  • Change filters
  • Clean coils and perform A/C drain line maintenance
• Perform minor interior repairs and touch-ups as needed
• Perform quarterly plant breakroom/bathroom and office deep cleaning, including light fixtures and carpet cleaning
• Coordinate and oversee major repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC

Plant Maintenance (Not Equipment or Machinery):

• Clean, sanitize, and restock employee bathrooms and breakrooms, including sweep and mop floors inside the manufacturing plant
• Sweeping plant floors
• Wipe down break room tables
• Organize manufacturing material
• Empty trash bins
• Replace A/C filters
• Assist the plant maintenance manager as needed on projects where a second set of hands is needed.

Grounds Maintenance:

• Maintain the exterior grounds, including mowing grass, trimming hedges, edging, and weed control
• Keep parking lots, walkways, and entrances clean and free of debris
• Empty outdoor trash receptacles and maintain dumpster areas
• Perform minor exterior repairs and touch-ups as needed

General Duties:

• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety policies
• Monitor and report any safety hazards or facility issues
• Assist with setup and teardown for company events or meetings
• Operate and maintain maintenance equipment (mowers, blowers, vacuums, etc.)
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in building maintenance, janitorial services, or groundskeeping preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Basic knowledge of minor repairs and hand tools
• Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and good attendance record
• Flexible schedule (may include early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends)
• Clean driving record, required
• Forklift experience, a plus

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, stretching, and lifting. The employee will regularly be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
