Facilities Maintenance Technician

SNELLING is currently recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company in the East Texas area with a pay range of $18-22/hr. Schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional after-hours needs for urgent building issues.


In this role, you will handle basic maintenance duties across the facility, including interior repairs and exterior groundskeeping. This position also serves as a helper to the Industrial Maintenance Technician, assisting with larger projects when an extra pair of hands is needed. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine building maintenance including changing air filters, light bulbs, and unclogging toilets,etc.
• Maintain exterior grounds by mowing lawns and keeping the facility clean and presentable.
• Assist the Industrial Maintenance Technician with repairs and projects as needed.
• Identify and report any facility issues requiring vendor or specialized attention.
• Keep maintenance areas organized and ensure tools/equipment are properly stored.
• Respond promptly to basic facility requests from management or staff.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a make-ready, janitorial, or facilities maintenance role preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work outdoors.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
