Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)
Location: Onsite Cornelia, GA
Shift: 12-hour night shift (8 PM - 8 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- (2 days on, 2 days off - Because of the rotation, one week you'll work 48 hours (4 shifts) and the next week you'll work 36 hours (3 shifts). This averages out to 42 hours per week, with built-in overtime every other week.)
Compensation: $35-$39/Hr
Interview process: One and Done Onsite!
Must Haves:
- 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience, including PLC-controlled equipment, relays, conduit installation, and interpreting electrical schematics.
Plusses:
- Experience working with voltages ranging from 12V to 480V
- Experience with Extrusion
- Associates degree in industrial system technology or related
Day-to-Day:
A manufacturing client of Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their night shift team onsite in Cornelia, GA. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to support production operations. The role is heavily focused on preventive maintenance and equipment reliability, with most day-to-day work involving mechanical maintenance while also requiring strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 12V to 480V, including relays, motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues by reading and interpreting electrical schematics and relay logic.
- Inspect and maintain proximity switches, heating elements, drives, and other machine components to ensure proper operation.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Install and run conduit, wire new equipment, and assist with equipment moves and facility modifications.
- Maintain AC/DC drives and support ongoing equipment reliability initiatives.
- Utilize shop equipment, welding, soldering, and hand tools to complete repairs as needed.
- Document maintenance activities and adhere to all safety, housekeeping, and company standards.
