Cleaning and Maintenance Staff
Duties
The Cleaning and Maintenance Staff is responsible for:
- Cleaning lodging guest rooms, corridors, stairways, facilities, and other assigned lodging areas.
- Using brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and lightweight floor scrubbers and buffers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing guest room appliances, cooking utensils, and dishes.
- Emptying wastebaskets.
- Washing walls, windows, and blinds that can be reached unassisted or using stepping stools. Changing bed linen and making beds. Collecting soiled linen and placing it at a pickup point.
- Receiving clean linen and delivering it where directed.
- Updating room status, occupancy, and checkouts using the telephone system.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls.
- Restocking toilet tissue, hand towels, soap, and other complimentary sundry items.
- Notifying the supervisor when more materials are needed or when equipment needs repair or replacement.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
