We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Purchasing Specialist II to support a fast-paced planning and procurement team.
In this role, you will serve as a key link between vendors and internal teams, ensuring smooth purchasing operations, continuity of supply, and effective communication across departments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently while managing multiple priorities.
What You’ll Do- Create, manage, and track purchase orders in SAP
- Communicate with vendors regarding order status, lead times, and issue resolution
- Monitor supply risks and analyze lead time constraints to ensure continuity
- Perform data analysis to identify inventory gaps and improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain vendor forecasts using SAP and Excel
- Track open orders and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, and issues
- Support invoice reconciliation and resolve purchase order discrepancies
- Manage a shared team inbox and respond to inquiries promptly
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support purchasing and planning decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with warehouse, marketing, procurement, and planning teams
- Act as a central coordination point, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
- Communicate key insights, risks, and opportunities to internal teams
- At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, supply planning, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (inventory, reporting, purchase orders)
- Strong Excel skills , including pivot tables and data analysis
- Experience managing purchase orders and vendor relationships
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
