Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking candidates for a local company looking for an experienced Accountant . This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance activities.
The Accountant will handle a variety of general accounting functions including financial reporting support, reconciliations, payroll assistance, and AP/AR oversight. This role works closely with management to ensure accuracy, organization, and timeliness of all financial data and reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and supporting schedules.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Assist with payroll processing and related payroll tax filings.
Support improvements to accounting processes and efficiency.
Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax filings.
Experience with QuickBooks required; ComputerEase experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
