Team Manager

Location: 405 Merchant Walk Sq., Charlottesville, VA, 22902 Position Overview Team Manager at Panera Bread in a fast‑paced, upscale café environment. You will supervise up to 75 staff members, maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and food quality, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. No late nights or fryers – a morning‑person schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a role‑model and lead the team. Ensure that team members provide great customer service. Take ownership for the business performance of the restaurant. Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by following all safety and sanitation standards and procedures. Run quality opening, mid and closing shifts ensuring a consistent positive customer experience. Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts. Greeting customers and doing table visits to ensure customer satisfaction. Recruit, train and motivate staff. Assist the specialist within the bakery‑cafe, ensuring team members are properly trained and fully competent in all aspects of food service and customer support. Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines, cultural values and following ethical business practices. Exhibit a professional image and promote and embody the company’s values and beliefs. Education and Experience At least 1–2 years of hospitality experience. Food management certifications are a plus. Must have the “Run it Like you Own It” mentality. Excellent organization, customer service and time management skills. Proven track record for leadership. Passion, energy and a positive attitude. Physical Standards Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours in length, lift up to 50 pounds, read and write to facilitate communication, and possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
