Event/Banquet Set-Up Attendant

Employer: The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach Position: Event/Banquet Set-Up Attendant Job Type: Full or Part Time, Non-Exempt Hourly Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida General Information: We offer fantastic benefits and rewards, including lunch daily while at work. General Job Description: This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of various areas within the property. This includes setting up event spaces, ensuring all areas are kept pristine, and assisting with any other tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. General Skills and Qualifications Needed Include: Flexible schedule Customer service skills Organizational skills Excellent problem solving abilities Teamwork and collaboration skills Flexible hours Efficient work Integrity Work well independently as required Can lift a minimum of 100 pounds Comfortable planning, setting up event spaces Knowledge of food and beverage health and safety initiatives Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Outstanding communicator with the ability to work with a team Understand the event layout and plan Set up and arrange furniture, stage, equipment, decorations and other items according to the event plan Transport or assist with transport of all event items needed to and from the event across the campus and/or offsite Valid Driver's License a plus Ensure all equipment needed is in good working order and fully functional Maintain equipment as needed Ensure setup is completed on time and pursuant to the event plan Adhere to all food safety requirements Assist dismantling and cleaning the area post-event and storing equipment and materials properly Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
