Sr. Account Manager
SiTime
Senior Sales Manager Automotive Strategic Accounts
SiTime is the Precision Timing company. Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.
Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry.
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Sales Manager to drive business growth and strategic account development within a portfolio of leading Automotive OEM customers, including Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Waymo, Ford, General Motors, and other emerging automotive innovators. This role requires a proven track record of securing significant semiconductor design wins, expanding long-term customer relationships, and influencing complex technical and commercial decisions across large, global automotive organizations.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of securing multimillion-dollar design wins, converting those wins into sustained production revenue, and continuously expanding customer engagement through new platform adoption, cross-functional relationship development, and strategic account planning. Success in this role requires the ability to uncover actionable customer and market intelligence, establish trusted relationships throughout the automotive ecosystem, and translate those insights into effective forecasting, prioritization, and investment decisions.
The successful candidate will possess deep semiconductor industry expertise, a strong understanding of automotive electronics architectures and timing technologies, and demonstrated success navigating complex OEM, Tier 1, and ecosystem relationships to deliver sustained revenue growth and market share gains.
Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership
Own and drive SiTime's business strategy, execution, and long-term growth within a portfolio of strategic automotive accounts, including Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Waymo, Ford, GM, and other key automotive customers and ecosystem partners. Develop and execute multi-year account plans aligned with customer product roadmaps, vehicle platforms, and SiTime's long-term growth objectives.
Automotive Ecosystem & Relationship Management
Build and maintain executive-level relationships across engineering, architecture, sourcing, supply chain, quality, program management, purchasing, manufacturing, operations, and business leadership organizations. Demonstrate the ability to successfully navigate large, geographically dispersed, and highly matrixed organizations while understanding and influencing the interactions between OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, contract manufacturers, silicon providers, module suppliers, and ecosystem partners.
Develop trusted relationships throughout the automotive decision-making chain to identify key influence points, champion relationships, and competitive threats that impact supplier selection and design decisions.
Design Win Creation and Revenue Expansion
Leverage a proven history of winning significant semiconductor design opportunities across ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Infotainment, Connectivity, Zonal Architectures, Vehicle Compute Platforms, Powertrain, Chassis, and Body Electronics applications.
Identify new application opportunities, expand existing engagements, and drive sustained revenue growth through successful design-in, design-win, qualification, production ramp, and platform expansion activities. Demonstrated experience converting initial design wins into broader platform adoption and long-term strategic partnerships is essential.
Technical Sales and Strategic Consultation
Apply deep technical expertise and automotive industry knowledge to position SiTime's differentiated timing solutions and articulate their value in improving system reliability, safety, performance, quality, and total cost of ownership.
Collaborate closely with customer architects, platform teams, system engineers, and quality organizations to influence vehicle architecture decisions and ensure SiTime solutions are designed into future vehicle platforms at the earliest stages of development.
Automotive Market Intelligence and Competitive Assessment
Develop actionable customer, platform, application, and competitive intelligence through direct engagement with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, engineering teams, sourcing organizations, ecosystem partners, and industry contacts.
Effectively extract relevant business, program, roadmap, production, sourcing, and competitive information to identify opportunities, assess risks, improve forecast accuracy, and shape business strategy. Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, vehicle platform evolution, emerging automotive technologies, competitor strategies, and supply chain dynamics.
Forecasting, Prioritization, and Resource Allocation
Translate customer vehicle roadmaps, production plans, platform strategies, sourcing activities, and market trends into accurate revenue forecasts and demand projections.
Evaluate opportunities based on strategic value, platform longevity, probability of success, competitive position, and revenue impact to help determine where SiTime should focus engineering, quality, sales, marketing, and executive resources to maximize return on investment and accelerate growth.
Automotive Quality and Commercial Leadership
Understand and guide customer engagements involving automotive quality requirements, qualification standards, reliability expectations, PPAP requirements, change management processes, and long-term supply commitments.
Lead commercial discussions involving automotive contracts, pricing strategies, long-term agreements, design award negotiations, cost-down expectations, supply assurance, and capacity planning.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with product management, engineering, quality, operations, marketing, and executive leadership teams to ensure alignment around customer requirements, account strategies, automotive qualification needs, product positioning, and growth initiatives.
Industry Influence and Network Development
Leverage an established network of automotive OEM, Tier 1, semiconductor, and ecosystem decision-makers to identify opportunities, gain competitive intelligence, and accelerate new business development across target accounts.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a closely related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive semiconductor sales, business development, or field applications experience supporting automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, EV manufacturers, autonomous vehicle companies, or automotive semiconductor suppliers.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently delivering significant automotive design wins, production revenue growth, and market share expansion within strategic accounts.
- Proven experience winning and growing business within large, complex automotive OEM and Tier 1 organizations with multiple engineering centers, vehicle programs, sourcing organizations, and executive stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of automotive electronics architectures, vehicle networking, ADAS systems, autonomous driving platforms, zonal architectures, infotainment systems, powertrain electronics, and vehicle compute systems.
- Demonstrated success managing long automotive design cycles and influencing strategic technology decisions across engineering, sourcing, quality, operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Thorough understanding of automotive sourcing models, OEM-Tier 1 relationships, decision-making processes, commercial structures, and key influence points throughout the automotive value chain.
- Strong understanding of automotive quality requirements, qualification standards, reliability expectations, change management processes, and automotive product lifecycle requirements.
- Experience negotiating automotive commercial agreements and understanding automotive contractual requirements, pricing strategies, and long-term supply commitments.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize customer, market, application, and competitive intelligence into actionable account strategies and business recommendations.
- Strong forecasting discipline, including a demonstrated ability to translate customer vehicle roadmaps, SOP schedules, production forecasts, sourcing plans, and market trends into accurate revenue and demand projections.
- Proven ability to assess market opportunities and recommend prioritization of technical, commercial, and investment resources to maximize business impact.
- Possession of a significant and well-established network within the automotive OEM, Tier 1, EV, autonomous driving, and semiconductor ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is recognized by customers as a trusted advisor and possesses deep knowledge of both traditional automotive OEMs and disruptive next-generation vehicle manufacturers. They have successfully managed some of the industry's largest and most complex automotive accounts and possess a demonstrated track record of turning customer relationships into meaningful design wins, production revenue, and long-term strategic partnerships.
They have a thorough understanding of the automotive ecosystem, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, semiconductor vendors, ODM/JDM, EMS providers, manufacturing partners, and supply chain participants. They understand how vehicle platform decisions are made, where influence resides within the ecosystem, and how to effectively engage the technical, commercial, sourcing, and executive stakeholders who ultimately determine design and supplier selection decisions.
They are highly skilled at uncovering customer priorities, identifying emerging opportunities, evaluating competitive threats, and leveraging market intelligence to improve business forecasting, influence investment decisions, and guide organizational resource allocation. Their experience enables them to identify where SiTime can create the greatest long-term strategic value and where company resources should be invested to maximize growth and market share
