Clera helps startups hire by combining AI agents with hands-on recruiting. As an Account Executive, you'll own the full sales cycle—from discovery through close—turning conversations with founders and hiring leaders into customers. You'll work closely with our SDR team and play a key role in scaling our go-to-market motion.
What You'll Do
- Run discovery calls to understand what companies are hiring for, their urgency, and decision-making process, then pitch how Clera solves their problem.
- Close deals by handling objections, negotiating terms, and getting agreements signed.
- Keep deals moving by following up consistently, maintaining accurate CRM records, and ensuring clean handoffs to our delivery team.
- Partner with SDRs to give feedback on meeting quality and help refine how we open conversations.
- Share founder feedback to help us improve our pitch, pricing, and sales process.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience closing B2B deals as an Account Executive or in a similar full-cycle sales role, ideally selling to SMBs or startups.
- Comfort running sales conversations end-to-end with founders and hiring managers.
- Strong follow-through and disciplined CRM habits.
- Coachability and genuine interest in how startups buy.
- Background in recruiting, staffing, or HR services is helpful but not required; same with startup experience or familiarity with AI tools in sales workflows.
Location
In-person onboarding in Salt Lake City, then remote or hybrid with the option to visit San Francisco to meet the team.
