HVAC Estimator

HVAC Estimator-Billings, MT

Our wage packages include employer paid medical, dental, vision plans and profit share.

The Estimator will work closely with outside vendors to review drawings and job plans for the purpose of compiling comprehensive pricing for all design/build, plan/spec and design assist with jobs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in selecting jobs to bid.
• Compile quotes.
• Review weekly bid opportunities on the builders exchange.
• Complete a budget book.
• Track and follow up with bids.
• Turn over awarded jobs/budgets to accounting and or PM/Foreman.
• Maintain and keep current Sheet Metal estimating tool/program.
• Collaborate with venders, superintendent, project managers, engineers and others as needed.
• Assist HVAC operations and Project Manager as needed for job turn over preconstruction meeting.
• Assist in creating and maintaining submittals.
• Maintain communication for labor levels with Mechanical departments.
• Reports to Mechanical Department Manager

Job Requirements:

• Computer training specific to Mechanical work estimating programs.
• Knowledge of Mechanical systems, sheet metal layout, duct design, plumbing is a plus.
• Field and Fabricating experience helpful. Effective communication skills are necessary.
• Background and understanding of applied mathematical calculations is helpful.
