Respiratory Therapist II Wkd Non-NICU (Nights)

Weekend Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift 7pm-7am) Wellstar Paulding Hospital, Hiram, GA Significant Sign‑On Bonus and Relocation assistance offered for qualified, experienced Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities Provide patient care and medication administration in critical care settings. Deliver ventilator management, weaning, waveform interpretation, airway management (intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care). Perform arterial blood gas sampling & analysis. Administer aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen & medical gas therapy. Assess patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to plan care. Educate patients, families, students, and peers; mentor new employees. Assist in invasive and non‑invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing. Ensure accurate electronic orders, charting, and charging. Support patient safety initiatives, including medication safety and evidence‑based practice. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and documentation of DPPs. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with WellStar Health System policies and code of conduct. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with at least 20 quarter hours of science. Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). 0–2 years clinical experience, including a minimum of 6 months in critical care. Registered Respiratory Therapist license; Respiratory Care Program required; Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications required. Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
