Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery PRN

Job Summary As a Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery PRN, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. Responsibilities Coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients. Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and family. Develop an individualized patient care plan. Provide family‑centered patient teaching. Identify and correct variances from the patient care plan. Facilitate discharge planning and teaching. Complete an admission interview upon patient arrival and completely document the patient assessment. Identify changes in the patient’s condition and act promptly and appropriately to report changes to the physician or charge nurse. Assess and document patient educational needs and instructions given. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse (RN). Associate Degree in Nursing. 1 year of experience in labor and delivery. No travel required.
