Senior Accounting Manager

Interim Senior Accounting Consultant / Accounting Manager (4–6 Month Project) I'm working with a $200M private equity-backed organization that is seeking a hands-on accounting professional to lead a finance turnaround initiative. This is a highly visible opportunity to partner with the VP/Controller to improve processes, drive accountability, and stabilize the accounting function. Key Responsibilities: Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Implement and document accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs) Establish and maintain a streamlined 5-day month-end close process Ensure daily cash postings and weekly payroll postings are completed accurately and on time Drive accountability, execution, and follow-through across the accounting team Partner closely with corporate accounting leadership to improve efficiency and operational performance Work across multiple legacy accounting systems while leveraging advanced Excel skills What They're Looking For: Strong month-end close and general accounting experience Proven success improving accounting processes and implementing SOPs Ability to lead through influence and hold teams accountable for deliverables Advanced Excel skills and the ability to navigate multiple accounting systems Someone who thrives in turnaround environments and enjoys creating structure where it's needed This is a 4–6 month consulting engagement with immediate impact and significant visibility within the organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr Brilliant®
