Staff Accountant

We are partnering with an established, growing organization seeking to add a Staff Accountant to its finance team. Position Overview The Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. This position offers a combination of hands-on accounting responsibilities and opportunities to expand into more advanced financial functions over time. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate financial records. Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations. Support Accounts Payable functions, including vendor management, account reconciliation, and reporting. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation. Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and improve reporting efficiency. Support compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy. Collaborate with the finance team on additional accounting projects and initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience. Strong understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliations. Working knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and financial reporting. Intermediate Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and lookup functions. Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Motivated to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and advance professionally.
