**Spartanburg, SC | $28-$32/hr | Full-Time | Day Shift **
Express Employment has partnered with a well-established custom equipment manufacturer in Spartanburg, SC. They have been designing and building material handling and processing equipment for the wood products industry for over 30 years. This is a Fabricator DIRECT HIRE position working on custom projects, solving challenges, and producing high-quality work from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Lay out, measure, cut, fit, and weld metal components.
- Fabricate structural assemblies, frames, plates, and stainless-steel components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding processes as needed.
- Inspect welds for quality, durability, and code compliance.
- Operate and maintain welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment.
- Use air arc gouging and oxy-acetylene equipment for repairs and fabrication.
- Install new equipment and replacement parts.
- Follow all safety procedures and shop standards.
What We're Looking For
7+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong knowledge of:
Experience with hand tools, power tools, torches, chain hoists, hydraulic jacks, and measuring equipment.
Ability to perform shop math, including fractions and decimals.
Welding certification or technical training.
